Q

What is the law of multiple proportions?

A

It states that elements might combined more than one set of proportions, with each set the corresponding to a different compound. Example: carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide

Q

What is the atomic theory?

A

It is Daltons theory of what matter was composed of, how elements were formed, as well as compounds in chemical reactions. The only unmodified atomic theory is that chemists still believe that compounds are formed of different elements and have to have fixed proportions.
