How do you explain the fact that many proteins of Archaea resemble their counterparts in eukaryotes more closely than those of bacteria?
A
In the evolution tree, LUCA diverged to ancestor of Bacteria and the common ancestor of both Archaea and Eukarya. Thus, Archaea and Eukarya are more closely related than Archaea and Bacteria.
