External respiration is exchange of gases between atmosphere and body, while internal respiration is exchange of gases between blood and body’s tissues.

Takes in oxygen and removes carbon dioxide
What does respiratory system regulate?
blood pH by removing carbon dioxide
What does respiratory system warms/moistens and filter?
Warms/moistens inhaled air and Filters particles from inhaled air
What does respiratory system gives and produces?
Gives sense of smell and Produces sound by moving air past vocal cords
