Victory in Europe Day! the war in Europe was finally over!

What was Battle of The Bulge?
On December 16th, 8 German tank divisions broke though weak American defended along a 80-mile front. Tanks drove 60 miles into Allied Territory, creating a bluge in the lines that have this desperate last-ditch offensive a name.

- Hiroshima- an important military center bombed by an atomic bomb
- Nagasaki- the atom bomb “Fat Man” levelled half of the city of Nagasaki
