How do you diagnose disorder and disease?
Differential WBC Count
Amoeboid Motion
WBC abillity to wander through body tissues to reach sites of inflamation and destruction
Total WBC Count/Total RBC Count
Determines the total # of that cell type per unit volume of blood
Leukocytosis
WBC>11,000 cells/mm3 indicate bacterial or viral infection, metabollic disease or hemorrhage or poisoning by drugs
Hematocrit
Determined when anemia is suspected. % of RBC in whole blood sample
