What is version control register
Version control register combines procedures and tools to manage different versions of configuration objects that are created during software product development.
What is baseline
Baseline is a tested and verified version of a system. It may have version number 1, 2, 3, 4 etc

The purpose of change control is to monitor and control changes

Formal technical review is responsible for the technical correctness of a change

Software configuration audit assess those characteristics that are not considered during FTR

Its a software version like 1.1, 2.2, 3.5 etc. Interim version has a short life.

Archive helps to re-create earlier version in case of data lose or corrupt
