- letting go of old behaviors pre bb
- giving up fantasy of what could have been
- reconnecting w partner
- bb becomes separate entity fr her
Bonding
emotions that start during pregnancy or shortly after birth bw parent + infant
-unidirectional from parent to infant
Attachment
emo connection that forms bw infant + their parent
-BI-directional : fr infant to parent; fr parent to infant
