Covering the presidency is a big role, Congress can be a little overwhelming (focus on leaders), and no one really covers the Supreme Court because there are no cameras allowed.

Media news influences issues addressed by the government.

The media also defines issues of concern.
Variation
The media has lots of variety but foreign policy is left out a lot.
