17
Q

GAS is what in simple terms and has 3 stages

A

Fight / Flight

Alarm - Adrenaline into the blood stream with (epinephrine) + corticosteroids which heighten all body things

Resistance - Stressor removed so everything calms down
stressor still present body maintains sense of arousal

Exhaustion - body parts used all energy and now puts strain on body. hearing goes first and if chronic leads to hypertension

18
Q

GAS has x3 reaction
Phycological
Psychosomatic
Somatic

A

The brain reacting to the stress
The brain triggers release the hormones
Muscles react to chemicals and hormones released

19
Q

Overload =

A

Breakpoint where moderate tasks become impossible

20
Q

Stress can shown by the inverted U what are the zones

A

Optimal in the middle, under left and over right
