What is activity-based funding?
Activity-based funding: provides funding on a patient-focused system, where a healthcare unit or institution gets funding based on the volume and the complexity of the patients that are treated
What are bundled payments?
Bundled Payments: a single funding amount awarded to the healthcare provider when a patient needs a set of treatments and services to recover from a specific health issue, designed to cover a fixed time recovery period

- Right to receive treatment that is provided with a reasonable degree of care

Health literacy is “the ability to access, understand, evaluate and communicate information as a way to promote maintain and improve health in a variety of settings across the life-course”
How to describe a health-literate individual?
- Understand and carry out instructions for self-care, including administering complex daily medical regimens,
- Plan and achieve the lifestyle adjustments required for improved health,
- Make informed positive health related decisions,
- Know how and when to access health care
