- David took a smooth stone from his knapsack, put it in his sling, and hurled the stone at Goliath. The stone hit Goliath in the forehead with such a force that it knocked him down, and David was able to kill Goliath

David’s love for a beautiful woman named Bathsheba led him to displease God. Bathsheba was the wife of Uriah, one of David’s army officers. David wanted to marry Bathsheba, but she was already married. So David arranged to have her husband killed in battle.
