chorioamnionitis
bacterial or viral infection of the amniotic fluid and membranes

induction of labor in which the physician and woman decide to end the pregnancy in the absence of a medical reason to do so

a surgical incision made into the perineum to enlarge the vaginal opening just before the baby is born
