What is an Issue?
An event relevant to the project that requires project management consideration
What is the purpose of the Issue practice?
To collect and asses issues and control changes to the project’s baseline

What is a change?
A change is defined as a modification to any of the approved products that constitute the project baseline
What is the Project baseline?
The current approved version of the management and project products that are subject to change control
What is the purpose of change control?
It enables those involved to identify when changes have been made and allow them to trade it back to the decision maker
In case of of an approved change. In what management product is the change captured?
Product Register (part of the project log) Issue register is only for the raised issues.
Prince2 recommends 5 issue categorizations.. What are they?
Categorized as:
-A problem or Concern
-An event external to the project
-Business Opportunity
-Request for change
-Off-specification
What is the difference of a Issue and a risk?
Risks are uncertain, Issues are certain
What is a business opportunity?
An issue that represents unanticipated positive consequences for the project or user organization
What does the categorization Off-specification contain?
Issues that will not meet its quality specifications
What is the change budget?
Money or authorized constraints set aside in a plan to cover potential changes.

When should issues be reviewed?
at all project reviews from regular status meetings to stage boundary reviews
When reviewing issues, the aim is to answer these three questions:
what is the type of issue?
