What are the four word parts?
Word root, Prefix, Suffix, Combining vowel
What is the word root?
The foundation of the word. Provides the general meaning of the word. A term may have more than one word root.
What is the prefix?
At the beginning of the word. Usually provide info about the location of an organ, the number of parts, or time (frequency).
What is the suffix?
At the end of the word. Adds meaning such as a condition, disease, or procedure.
