Q

what is phytomining?

A

when ores are extracted by planting plants in the ground in the area that would have been made into a quarry to mine. the plants will absorb the metal ions, and then they are harvested and burnt to create the metals. this is quite a slow way, but doesn’t destroy habitats like the quarry and is cheaper
