Scientific method
An approach to research whereby a problem is identified, a hypothesis is stated, and that hypothesis is tested by collecting and analyzing data
Why is the scientific method valued?
It always keeps hypotheses available for testing and rejection
Hypothesis
A provisional explanation of a phenomenon
Require verification or falsification through testing
Theory
A broad statement that has been tested and retested and is the best current explanation for observed phenomena
What does the term bio cultural evolution refer to?
The interaction between biology and culture in human evolution
Species
A group of organisms that can interbreed and produce fertile offspring
What is not true about paleo anthropology?
It included the fossils of ancient reptiles and amphibians
