Q

State the order of how smells are sensed.

A

1.When air passes through the nasal cavity, the chemical substances in the air dissolve in the mucous lining.
2.The dissolved chemical particles stimulate the smell receptors.
3.The smell receptors produce nerve impulses.
4.These impulses are sent to the brain to be interpreted as smells.
