Adaptive Radiation
The divergence of a single group or species into a series of distinct, but related, groups or species, each of them suited to survive in its specific niche
Genetic Diversity
Not all members of the species are the same, and these traits can be passed to offspring

a group of genetically compatible, interbreeding natural populations that are genetically isolated from other groups

proteins involved in transcription of DNA to RNA

the basic unit of heredity passed from a parent to offspring
Trancription
the process by which a cell makes an RNA copy of DNA
Translation
the process by which a cell makes proteins using the genetic information carried in mRNA
Natural Selection
the process by which organisms that are better adapted and suited to their environment survive and reproduce more
