Chapmans reflexes Flashcards
Chapmans point treatment
Firm pressure with finger pad of one finger. Slowly move tip of finger in circular fashion 10-30 seconds. Can alternate clockwise counterclockwise. Cease when mass dissapears or procedure no longer tolerated.
Arms
Superior medial border of scapula, , T2 lateral to spinous process
Middle ear Anterior/Posterior
Anterior: Superior medial 1/3 of clavicle
Posterior: Occiput 2 cm lateral from midline
Sinuses Anterior/posterior
A: Superior border of rib 2, inferior medial clavicle
P: Below occiput, lateral to spinous process of C2
Larynx
Rib 2 costcochondral jxn
Tonsils
between rib 1/2 just lateral to manubrium
Tongue
Jxn of 1st rib and sternum
Posterior Pharynx/Larynx/Tongue
Lateral to spinous process of
C2
Spleen anterior/posterior
Anterior: between ribs 7 & 8 at the
costochondral junction on the LEFT
Posterior: lateral to T7 on the LEFT
Esophagus Anterior/posterior
A: Between rib 2 & 3 parasternally
P:Lateral to T2 spinous process
Stomach - LEFT anterior/posterior
A:Between Rib 5/6 and 6/7 at costochondral junction
P: Lateral to T5 & T6 spinous process
Liver - RIGHT anterior/posterior
A: Between Rib 5/6 and 6/7 at costochondral junction
P: Lateral to T5 & T6 spinous process
Pancreas - RIGHT anterior/Posterior
A: Between Ribs 6&7 @ costochondral jxn
P: Lateral to spinous process of T7
Small intestines anterior/posterior
A: Between Ribs 8/9, 9/10, and 10/11 bilat @costochondral jxn
P: Lateral to spinous processes of T8, 9, 10
Gallbladder – RIGHT posterior
Lateral to T6
