BARS in conjunction with ERS or telephone alarm minimum response
3 and 2 and BC

A minimum response for BARS alarm

BC if available
If a full first alarm assignment has not responded to an alarm received but is needed the IC shall transmit

MAX IS 3/2 and BC FOR SINGLE SOURCE FOR STRUCTURAL RESPONSE
ERS NO CONTACT
Btwn 0800-2300 no responses
Btwn 2300-800 one engine
When MARINE company requires the assistance of land based personnel
Engine shall be special called to pick up site selected by marine officer
Officer and all members except ECC SUPPLEMENT FIRE BOAT PERSONNEL
ECC REMAINS AT PICK UP SITE UNLESS ORDERED OTHERWISE AND MONITOR RADIO
DISPATCHER MAY TELL ECC TO RESPOND TO ALTERNATE LOCATION TO PICK UP MEMBERS
Fallback STEP 1
Discontinue single engine responses to No- contact ERS boxes btwn 2300-800
All boroughs are in fallback step one btwn 0800 and 2300
Fallback step 2
Dispatch of one engine company to all electromechanical boxes
Fallback step 3
Response of 2 eng 1 ladder and 1 BC For all structural responses ( telephone and ERS )
Verbal alarms
Verbal in quarters notify dispatcher by pressing verbal button
Do not await teleprinter confirmation before responding
Verbal button used only if is alarm within 2 blocks
More than 2 blocks respond and give info and location via radio
Verbals out of quarters
Fire or emergency observed out of quarters or receiving verbal immediately notify dispatcher
Provide location , nature of incident and proceed to location of incident
If responding to alarm and revive a verbal for a different incident than you should
If evident that human life not in danger at scene of verbal , unit shall proceed to location of original alarm after Transmit verbal to dispatcher and receive acknowledgement
