ELEVATED LIVER ENZYMES
LOW PLATELET
is considered a complication of pregnancy because the body must adjustto the effects of more than one fetus.
MULTIPLE PREGNANCY (36-37WKS)
MULTIPLE GESTATION
- a term pregnancy is 38 to 42 weeks long. A pregnancy that exceeds these limits is prolonged(i.e.,postterm pregnancy, postmature, or postdate).
POSTTERM PREGNANCY
- usually, the amniotic fluid volume at term is 500-1,000 mL. ________________ occurs when thereis excessivefluid of more than 2,000 mL or an amniotic fluid index above 24 cm
POLYHYDRAMNIOS
- Refers to a pregnancy with less than the average amount of amniotic fluid.
OLIGOHYDRAMNIOS
occurs when an Rh-negative pregnant patient (one negative for a D antigenor onewithadd genotype) carries a fetus with an Rh-positive blood type (DD or Dd genotype).
ISOIMMUNIZATION (RH INCOMPATIBILITY)
