铁经过多次冶炼而成为好钢。比喻人久经磨练而成才。

(of a difficult situation) to suddenly improve

行将枯死的树木遇到了春天。
比喻重新获得生机

脫胎換骨
tuō tāi hùan gǔ
to shed one’s mortal boday and exchange one’s bone
to change wholly
be reborn, cast off one’s old self, thoroughly remould oneself
> 得到脱胎换骨的改造
> 脱胎换骨，重新做人
道教认为，修炼得道可以脱凡胎而换圣胎，脱骨而换仙骨。比喻思想感情等发生根本变化。

改琴弦，改车道。比喻改变方向，做法。

指遇到巨大的灾祸而没有死掉，将来必定有福气。

在陷入绝境的情况下忽然得到生路

out of extreme adversity is the beginning of good luck
情况坏到极点后逐渐好转。
逆境达到极点，就会向顺境转化。指坏运到了尽头好运就来了。

heaven-sent chance
god-sent opportunity
适逢其会
適逢其會
shì féng qí huì
happen to be present at the right moment
意思是恰好碰上那个时机
指人或事碰到好机会
