Health Belief model
The balance between the pros and cons of doing PA are the persons motivation.
Theory of planned behaviour
Behaviour = Intention = Attitude (do I want to do it?) + Subjective norm (will me friends?) + Perceived behaviour control (can I do it?)
Social cognitive theory (bandura)
A triangle between: Personal (knowledge, expectations and attitudes)
behavioural (skills, self efficacy)
Environmental (social norms, access)
Transtheoretical model **
Precontemplation (no exercise or intention to do it in the last 6months) > Contemplation (intentions in less than 6 months) > Preparation (Preparing eg buying kit or membership) > Action ( Exercise consistently but for less than 6 months) > Maintenance (regular exercise for at least 6 months)

Consciousness - identifying benefits
Dramatic relief - identifying negatives
Self revaluation (personal reasons to be healthier)
Social liberation (Outside reasons to be healthy)
