Step 1 : Set goals and describe the future conditions envisaged in detail
Step 2: Analyse the present conditions as it compares with the future envisaged conditions
Step 3: Describe the transition process in terms of activities and commitments
Step 4: Develop a plan of action to manage the process of transition
Step 5: Be flexible about the way that change will be implemented and the time that it could take
Step 6: identify key players or change agents to manage the process
