Anyone who is responsible for the activities of one or more subordinate employees
Supervisor
The efficient assignment of subordinates to supervisor.
Generally 3-7 subordinates with 5 being the preferred number.

Establishing priorities
Three levels of priority
- Mental prep for emergency response
- Direct prep for emergency response
- Application of efficient organizational skills
Officer and members of unit must be mentally and emotionally prepared to respond to any type of emergency situation at any time during their work shift
Mental preparation for emergency response
- Training and drilling as a team
- Preparing the apparatus
- Obtaining PPE and tools with which to respond
- Develop preincident plans for occupancies and hazards within the response area
Direct preparation for emergency response
- Completion of reports and records
- Station maintenance
- Other admin duties assigned to officer
Application of efficient organizational skills
