No, Culture is enigmatic and largely amorphous–impossible to capture, put into a container, measure, or otherwise get our hands on

What is a Cultural Identity
The way ones culture of birth influences a person’s beliefs and self concept
Significance of Culture for interpreters
Effective communication requires that we each identify our own cultural identity and group membership and understand how it influences our expectations in communication
Do Interpreters only interpret/mediate language?
No thay are also mediate between MINIMUM 2 cultures and multiple group identities
How does culture influence communication?
Culture dictates expectations and metamessages behind messages in communication
What is the purpose of having a culture?
allows in individual social interaction, emotional support, and physical support
