Define Twinning(i.e. Mentoring)
an experienced interpreter “adopts” a less experienced interpreter showing them the ropes, introduces them,to Deaf and Interpreting communities, may serve as a sounding board
What do the codes of conduct do? what is their purpose?
They provideinterpreters with guidelines for assistance as professional decisions are made, reviewed, and evaluated.
They also foster a standard of behavior so consumers know what they can expect when similar situations arise, regardless of who the interpreter may be there is an assumed standard.
How does an interpreter maintain professional distanc?
refrain from interpreting in settings where the involvement of family members, good friends, or close professional associates

What is Integrity of Service?
Members who engage in this will make every attempt to avoid situations that constitute a real or perceived conflict of interest.
Is the COE/CPC always right?
Sometimes it may conflict with your moral code/family values. It is essential that an interpreter is aware of these possibilityies before entering an assignment
What constitues a support group?
a small group of professional peers committed to confidentiality, growth, and honesty in the interpreting field
