Affordable Care Act (ACA)
he Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), often shortened to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or nicknamed Obamacare, is a United States federal statute enacted by the 111th United States Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010.
Agenda Setting
he “ability [of the news media] to influence the importance placed on the topics of the public agenda”. With agenda setting being a social science theory, it also attempts to make predictions.
Board of Governors
The Board of Governors, located in Washington, D.C., is a federal government agency that is the Fed’s centralized component. The Board consists of seven members who are appointed by the president of the United States and confirmed by the Senate.
