Establish two way communication

A

Communication between the school+ home can take various forms:
-Written communication

  • open days
    1. Display visitors book parents can sign
    2. Give parents a list of things to see in your classroom + school
    3. Duplicate important info to hand out to parents
    4. Display learners work
    5. Display + label educational material
    where necessary, provide an interpreter so that all parents communicate freely with teacher.
  • Informal contact

    1. Send home meeting invitation
    2. Schedule meetings carefully.
    3. Make suitable + comfortable place parents to sit
    4. Deliver clear messages

    meditation / popular song + dance
    -tell everybody why NB to start the day
    -rotate suggested ways (teaches children about various cultures).
