When I am using the same word to something that isn’t that word
Ex: ok a dog is a 4 leges animal with fur, so now I see a cat and I call it a dog
Ex: every old person is grandma bc my grandma is old
Fast mapping
Learning word meanings rapidly that the child can’t be considering all possible meanings
