Explain how you can begin to replace feelings of worry with feelings of faith and trust in God.
First, identify your worries, starting with the greatest one. After you realize what the greatest source of worry is right now, share it with God. As you are talking with God, take the time to just listen to what He says to you in your mind and in your heart. He will give you a sense of peace about your concern. Next, talk to someone you can trust, preferably an adult.
Explain why God warns us against comparison and jealousy
comparison and jealousy ruin relationships. They put a big wedge between you and the other person. They also affect your thoughts about yourself. Possibly worst of all they can lead you into pride– thinking that you are better than others. If you have a problem with jealousy, talk to God about the way you feel. Ask Him to help you to overcome comparison and be grateful for all that He has done for you.
Imagine that a friend of your comes to you and asks, “If God really loves me, why did He let my parents split up?” What would you say to him or her?
Sometimes bad things happen to Christians just like non-Christians. Many times you don’t understand why things happen. There is no easy answer for this, but God has a unique way of causing good to come from bad. I know it is hard right now, but if you turn to God and share your true feelings with Him, He will help you through this time.
