Attitude: anti-authority
“don’t tell me what to do.” The person does not like or may resent anyone telling them what to do. They may regard rules, regulations, and procedures as silly or unnecessary.
Attitude: impulsivity
“do it quickly.” The person frequently feels the need to do something, anything, immediately. They do not stop to think about the best alternative and does the first thing that comes to mind.
Attitude: invulnerability
“it won’t happen to me.” The person falsely believes that accidents happen to others but never to him/her. They now accidents happen and that anyone can be affected. However, they never really feel or believe that they will personally be involved in one. Such people are more likely than others to take chances and increase risk.
Attitude: Machoism
“I can do it - I’ll show them.” The person tries to prove that they are better than everyone else. They take risks to impress others.
Attitude: Resignation
“what’s the use?” The person does not believe his/her actions make a difference in what happens. They attribute good/bad outcomes alike to luck. They leave the action to others, for better or worse. Sometimes, the person even goes along with unreasonable requests just to “be a nice guy.”
Acute fatigue
short term - a normal occurrence in everyday living. People feel acute fatigue after a period of strenuous effort, excitement, or lack of sleep
Chronic fatigue
extreme fatigue or tiredness that does not go away with rest. May occur when there is not enough time for a full recovery from repeated episodes of acute fatigue
Chronic stress
results from long term stresses and/or mismanagement thereof - can result in anxiety, high blood pressure, a weakened immune system, depression, confusion, mental errors, insomnia, and memory loss.
