Remote ID broadcast module
an alternative remote ID device that broadcasts identification and location information about the drone and its takeoff location in accordance with the remote ID rule’s requirements
FRIA
FAA-recognized identification area
Hazardous Material
a substance or material that the Secretary of Transportation has determined is capable of posing an unreasonable risk to health, safety, and property when transported in commerce
VLOS
visual line of sight - any crewmember is capable is seeing the aircraft with vision unaided by any device other than corrective lenses
See and avoid
remote PIC has the responsibility to remain clear of and yield right-of-way to all other aircraft, manned or unmanned, and avoid other potential hazards that may affect the remote PIC’s operation of the aircraft
