A

These infancy narratives are so different because they focus on different elements. For example, Matthew focuses on Joseph and the genealogy of Jesus, tracing it back to King David. These Gospels were also written for different audiences, for example Matthew’s Gospel was most likely written for a Jewish audience, while Luke was for a wider range of audiences.
