upper respiratory tract disorders
a group of disorders characterized by inflammation and irritation of the mucous membranes of the nose.
Rhinitis
may occur with antihypertensive agents such as ACE inhibitors, and BB’s also statins, antidepressants, antipsychotics, aspirin, and some anti anxiety meds.
Drug induced rhinitis
S/S include rhinorrhea (excessive nasal drainage, runny nose), nasal congestion, nasal discharge, sneezing, itching nose and roof of the mouth, throat and eyes, H/A
Rhinitis
occurs when the patient has experienced 12 weeks or longer of two or more of the following symptoms: mucopurulent drainage, nasal obstruction, facial pain-pressure-fullness or hyposmia(decreased sense of smell)
chronic rhinosinusitis
