What is the purpose of the preflight assessment?
To ensure that the airplane meets regulatory airworthiness standards and is in a safe mechanical condition prior to flight.
The aircraft and its component parts meet the airplane’s type design or is in a properly altered configuration and is in a condition for safe operation.

How are cracks prevented from progressing?
“Stop-drilling” the crack.
Can you use a fuel of a lower grade in your aircraft?
No. Never.
What can happen if you use a lower grade fuel in your aircraft?
Detonation could severely damage the engine in a very short period of time.
What can happen if you use jet fuel in a reciprocating engine?
The engine may start, run, and power the airplane for a time long enough for the airplane to become airborne only to have the engine fail catastrophically after takeoff. -AFH (2-6)

When sumping fuel tanks where will a pilot see water if it is in the fuel?
In the bottom of the sumped fuel.
