100-Hour Inspection
Must be performed on rental aircraft, can fly past 100hr to location of inspection but next inspection is due from original expiration time
Syllabus
Provide structure to flight training, presolo/cross-country/test prep
Student pilot certificate
Must hold to fly solo - 16, read/write/speak/understand English and 3rd class med cert
Medical certificate
issued by FAA aviation medical examiner - 1st airline, 2nd commercial, 3rd student/recreation/private
Flight Review
CFI checks knowledge of regs, operations, and maneuvers - Every 24 calendar months to act as PIC
Annual Inspection
Every 12 calendar months, records airworthiness in maintenance records
Preventive maintenance
Can be performed by private pilots - replacing batteries/spark plugs, servicing wheel bearings/struts/batteries - Must be on maintenance records (signature, cert #, kind of cert, description of work)
Class of aircraft for airmen certification
Class of aircraft within category with similar operating characteristics - single engine, multi-engine, land, water, gyroplane, helicopter
Class of certification of aircraft
Class of aircraft having similar characteristics of propulsion, flight or landing - airplane, rotorcraft, glider, balloon, landplane, seaplane
Experimental cert
Cannot be operated for hire/compensation
