Caused by a disturbing or distressing experience leading to flashbacks, dreams and hyper vigilance

Period of unrealistically elevated mood
Major depressive disorder
Characterized by periods of loss of pleasure in normal activities l, hopelessness, and possible thoughts of suicide
Learned helplessness
State where experiencing random or uncontrolled consequences leading to feelings of helplessness and depression
Diathesis-stress model
Experience of stress interacts with an individuals biological predisposition to produce a psychological disorder
