Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC)
A set of nursing interventions that provides a level of standardization, which enhances communication of nursing care across all health care settings and enables health care providers to compare outcomes
1) The domains are the highest level (level 1), worded in broad terms (e.g., “safety” and “physiological: basic”).
2) The second level includes 30 classes, which offer useful clinical categories.
3) The third level includes the 514 interventions that are linked to NANDA nursing diagnoses.
