Engine Malfunction in Flight
- Control Nr
- Contingency Pwr switch - ON
- Single Engine Conditions - Establish

ENG SPEED HI CAUTION
- TRQ 10% or greater than good engine
- Ng 5% or greater than good engine
- Np is matched within 5% of other engine
- Nr is at or above 103%
Engine High-Side Failure In Flight
- EMIF - Perform
- PCL (Malfunctioning Engine) - Retard to set
a. torque 10% below the good engine, or
b. matched Ng, or
c. matched TGT

TORQUE SPLIT CAUTION
Difference between engine TRQs is greater than 10%
Engine Torque or TGT Spiking/Fluctuations
If an engine instrument is spiking/fluctuating and inducing secondary indications in Ng, Np and/or Nr
- EMIF - Perform
If fuel contamination is suspected
- Land as Soon as Possible

Np > NR by more than 3%

Engine High-Speed Shaft Failure
- EMIF - Perform
- PCL (Malfunctioning Engine) - OFF
Reasons to Abort a Start
- Ng Does not reach 14% within 6 seconds
- No oil pressure within 30 seconds after starter initiation
- No light-off within 30 seconds after moving the PCL to Idle
- ENG STARTER advisory disappears before reaching 52% Ng
- TGT Likely to Exceed 851c before IDLE speed is attained
Abort Start
- PCL - OFF
- Engine Ignition Switch - Off
If engine oil pressure is indicated:
- Starter - Engage
Caution
Engine Malfunction During Hover/Takeoff
- Control Nr
- Contingency Power Switch - On
If a suitable landing sight exists or unable to transition to forward flight:
- Set a level attitude, eliminate drift, cushion the landing
If able to transition to forward flight:
- EMIF - Perform
ENG OUT CAUTION
Dual Engine Failure
- Autorotation - Establish
- Immediate Landing/ Ditching EP - Perform
If time and altitude permit:
- Engine air restart EP - Perform

- APU Emergency start procedure - As Required

- Starter - Engage, motor engine
- PCL - Idle (TGT 80c or less, if time permits)
- PCL - Advance to fly after starter drop out

If ground resonance is encountered and a safe takeoff is possible:
- Take off immediately
- Unusual Vibrations in flight EP - Preform
If ground resonance is not encountered or a safe take off is not possible:
- Collective - Lower
- PCLs - Off
- Rotor break - Apply as required

Loss of Tail Rotor Drive Altitude and Airspeed SUFFICIENT
- PAC Call - AUTO, AUTO, AUTO
- Autorotation establish, center tail rotor pedals
- Drive failure - Attempt to verify
- Immediate Landing/ Ditching EP - Perform
- PCLs - Off when directed (Prior to flare)
Loss of Tail Rotor Drive Altitude and Airspeed NOT SUFFICIENT
- PAC Call - HOVER, HOVER, HOVER
- Collective - Lower
- PNAC - Hands on PCLs
- PCLS - Off when directed (approx 20 - 30 feet)
Loss of Tail Rotor Control
- Collective/ Airspeed - Adjust as required to control the yaw

If tail rotor control is not available:
- Loss of tail rotor control EP - Perform

- Servo switch - 1st off
- Land as Soon as Practicable
If the BACK UP RSVR LOW caution also appears or the backup pump fails to operate:
- Land as Soon as Possible. Be prepared for a loss of T/R control.
If the #2 PRI SERVO PRESS caution and/ or HYD warning appears:
- Land Immediately

If the #1 PRI SERVO PRESS caution and/ or HYD warning appears:
- Land Immediately

- Cyclic - Arrest pitch rate

- STABILATOR MAN SLEW switch - Adjust to 0

- Stabilator - Check position visually, slew as required
- APU Emergency start procedure - Perform
- COMPTR PWR/ RESET, SAS 1, SAS 2, TRIM, AUTOPILOT, STABILATOR AUTO CONTROL Pushbuttons - On

Fuel selector lever (affected engine) - XFD (DIR if currently in XFD)

- Land as Soon as Possible. Be prepared for a dual engine failure
- APU Emergency Start procedure - Perform

External Engine Fire
- Confirm fire
- EMIF - Perform
- PCL (affected engine) - Off
- Engine T-Handle (affected engine) - Pull
- Fire extinguisher swich - MAIN (reserve if required or AC power is off)
If airborne and fire continues:
- Land immediately
If fire appears to be extinguished
- Land as Soon as Possible

Internal Engine Fire
- Starter - Engage motor engine
APU Fire
- APU T-Handle - Pull
- Confirm Fire
- Fire Ext. switch - Reserve (main if required and available)
If airborne and fire continues:
- Land immediately
If fire appears to be extinguished
- Land as Soon as Possible
If on ground:
- Fire extinguisher - As Required
Note
Cockpit Fire/ Cabin Fire
If source is known:
1. affected power switches and Cbs - Off/ Pull
2. Portable fire extinguisher - As Required
If fire continues or source is unknown:
- Cabin/Doors/vents/ECS - Close/ Off, as required
- Unnecessary electrical equipment and Cbs - Off/ Pull
If fire continues:
Land as Soon as Possible

In the flare:
- Windows - Jettison/ reset handle as required
After Landing:

- Rotor break - On
- Copilot collective - Stow
- Pilot HCU - Stow
After all violent motion stops:
- Egress

FLIR bezel key > +FLIR OFF - SEL

If rocket motor ignites and aircraft yaws:
- Adjust controls as required to maintain straight-and-level flight

LDS MALFUNCTION ON DECK
IDLE: Ng of malfunctioning engine 3% - 4% higher than other engine.
DURING ENGAGEMENT: Engine with failed LDS will indicate a higher torq as PCLs are evenly advanced to FLY. (Good engine may not indicate torque until fly)
IN FLY COLL. DOWN: Matched torque. 1-2% split. Np/Nr matched above 100
LDS MALFUNCTION IN FLIGHT
INITAL INCR: Torq split. torq of the failed LDS will be lower than good engine.
HOVER: Matched, no indication
Coll Incr: (below 75%): Torq split. torq of the failed LDS will be lower than good engine
Coll Decr (to below 75%): Torq split. torq of the failed LDS will be ABOVE good engine.
Stable Flight: No Indication
Auto: Rapid Np/Nr Rise. Engine with failed LDS may show reisidual 12% Torq
All Stores Jett
ALL STORE JETT - Press
