What is the function f the Executive Review Panel (ERP) ?
Established by the chief to review all critical firearm discharges, investigations of serious uses of force, and conduct evaluations of all use of force on a quarterly basis. It rotates but will include a member of the command staff, CPI representative, the affected bureau chief and a rep from the county’s attorney office. ERP has the authority to recommend changes in investigative protocols, non disciplinary corrective actions when appropriate. They also has exclusive authority to change the duty status of any officer placed on admin leave.
What is the function of the Disciplinary Review Committee (DRC) ?
It is composed of three command officers appointed by the chief of police, and two FOP members . They conduct an annual review of the disciplinary action recommendation guide.
What is the function of the Human Relations Committee (HRC) ?
The HRC investigate every case alleging excessive force, abusive language or harassment by a law enforcement officer.
