A
  • unconcious/ altered lvl of conciousness
  • bilateral lvl of concouisness
  • significant midline spine pain
  • obvious deformity

Steps to rule out spinal injury

A
  1. once athlete secure, begin asking questions
  2. Where is pain/what happened/ any tingling
  3. wiggle toes/ fingers
  4. Palpate muscles/bony prominences

if numb/tingling call 911/stabalize head
