how would you test for cerebellar dysfunction? (VANISHED)

V - ask about vertiginous symptoms
A - (ataxia) observe gait (incl heel to toe) + get them to sit upright back off chair
N - (nystagmus) follow finger horizontally and vertically
I - look for intention tremor, hands out pointing
S - look for slurred speech, repeat ‘british constitution’
H - hypotonia, test for tone passively at each major joint
E - look for exaggerated past pointing when doing nose to finger test
D - dysdiadochokinesis, alternatively palm to hand on both sides
