What is the cell membrane made of?
A
phospholipids, proteins, carbs, and cholesterol

What do phospholipids do in the membrane?
A
They make up the selectively permeable barrier called the bilayer.

What do proteins do in the membrane?
A
They have many functions including being transport channels. Transport channels are what selectively allows the larger molecules and ions through into the cell

What do carbs do in the membrane?
A
They are chemical ID tags on the outside of the cell that are attached to proteins or lipids

A
It helps keep the membrane fluid
