Steering linkage (under front left tire) - 3 items to state

1. Link, Arm, Rod are not worn or cracked
2. Joints & sockets are not worn or loose
3. No missing nuts, bolts, cotter keys

Suspension - Coil

Answer 6

1. Coil spring is not cracked or distorted
2. Bushings are not missing or damaged
3. All mounts are secured to vehicle and axle
4. Shock is secure and not leaking
5. Insulators are not missing or damaged

Brakes

1. Brake hoses, lines and couplings are not cracked, worn, or leaking
2. Brake lining is not worn dangerously thin

Radiator - Filling

Tires: 8 point inspection

1. Tread depth: 4/32” or 2/32”
2. Evenly worn
3. No cuts or damage to tread or sidewall
4. Rim should be secure, free from damage and welds
5. Hub (or Axle if driven wheel) seal should be secure, not leaking, filled to adequate fluid level
6. Lug nuts should all be present, no signs of looseness (rust trails, shiny threads)
7. Valve stem & cap: Secure and not damage or leaking
8. Test pressure, state what it should be and tool used

Question 10

Mirrors & Door items

Answer 10

1. Properly adjusted (mirrors)
2. Clean & secure with no loose fittings (mirrors)
3. Door opens and closes from outside
4. Seal and hinges are intact and working
5. Latches work, locks work

Gas tank

1. Fuel tank is secure
2. Cap is tight
3. There are no leaks from tanks or lines, check ground

Question 12

Underside inspection (THREE items)

1. Frame Members (Frame, Cross, Box/Floor). Must be secure, free of holes, cracks, or any damage
2. Driveshaft. Cannot be bent, cracked, or damaged. Coupling needs to be free of foreign objects
3. Exhaust System: No signs of leaking (carbon soot / rust). Must be connected and mounted securely

Suspension - Leaf (SIX items)

1. Leaf springs cannot be shifted, missing, loose, cracked or broken
2. Spring hangers cannot be missing, loose, cracked, or broken
3. U-Bolts cannot be missing, loose, cracked or broken
4. Bushings cannot be missing, loose, cracked or broken
5. Shock absorber cannot be leaking and must be mounted securely
6. Mounts are securely mounted to frame and/or axle
