CCS Flashcards
What are the Trips and Auto Starts for the CCS Pumps?
Trips:
- Suction Pressure <25 psig for 5 seconds
- Motor Electric Fault
- Undervoltage
Auto Start:
Discharge Pressure <95 psig for 5 seconds
What are the power supplies for the CCS Pumps?
CCS-P1A - SWG11
CCS-P1B - SWG13
CCS-P1C - SWG12
What are the fail positions of the Temperature Control Valve and the Makeup Water Valve for CCS?
TCV - Max Cooling
M/U - Fails Open
What loads on CCS have no TCV associated with their HX?
- Gen Leads Cooling(Bus Duct Cooling)
- CWS Pumps
- CNM-P1’s
- CNM-P2’s
- FWS-P1’s
What loads on CCS have a TCV associated with their HX?
The following have a TCV on the CCS side of the HX:
- EHC
- OFG
- TLO
- GMH
- Gen Exciter Coolers
GMC has a TCV in the GMC side of the HX
What actions are required on a loss of CCS per SOP-14?
- Scram
- Trip Turbine
What are the start limitations for restarting a CCS Pump?
CCS Pump start limitations are as follows:
• Two starts in one hour from ambient temperature. A one hour wait is required before additional start attempts.
• One start at rated temperature (obtained after 30 minute run). A one hour wait is required before additional start attempts.
What are the flow limitations for a CCS HX?
Limit of 8500 gpm to prevent tube vibration
What are the CCS Pump operating limitations?
CCS Pump operating limitations are as follows:
• Maximum operating motor current is 58.5 amps.
• Minimum flow is 1,000 GPM.
• Maximum (runout) flow is 8,500 GPM
What is the max SWP D/P across a CCS HX?
10 psid
