-Guerrilla Warfare under Lin Biao
-Morale and discipline of PLA troops
-Tactical flexibility e.g. Retreat areas and fight later in a more favourable position ‘we give Jaing Yan ‘an, he will give us China’.
what were the military reasons the GMD lost?
-Overstretched and vulnerable to guerrilla warfare due to senior officers lacking experience
-Jaing was a poor leader and couldn’t delegate power to subordinates.
-Forced conscription and soldiers were tied up and often starved.
