What is a Lacuna

A

Small hollowed up spaces in which the cartilage cells live since the cellular matrix is too hard

What is Hyaline cartilage and where is it found

A

A tissue that forms a firm and resilient framework. It makes up the smooth caps on Bones. Also found in the bridge of the nose, framework of the larynx, and the coastal cartilage of ribs which connect the ribs to the sternum.

What is fibrocartilage and what is it found

A

It provides tough binding and resilient support. It is found in the joints between each vertebrae of the backbone, and cushions the spinal cord when you walk Bend or jump.

What is elastic cartilage and where is it found

A

Elastic collagenous fibers in it that are elastic fibers and there’s not much collagen. It is like soft plastic and it is found on the tip of the nose and the outer ear.
