How does the blood assist in preventing infection?
white blood cells and Antibodies help destroy bacteria and pathogens.
What is oedema and what does it cause?
Its accumulation of tissue fluid which causes swelling
what is an angioplasty?
A procedure to open closed arteries, this is done by inflating a tiny ballon to widen the artery.
What is a coronary bypass?
Surgery to improve blood flow to the heart, which is used to treat coronary heart disease.
what is an angiogram?
x-ray, used to look at arteries and veins in the arm, leg, head, chest, back or belly.

supplies the heart muscle its self with nutrients and oxygen.
