Angina
Chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.
Atherosclerosis
The build up of fats, cholesterol, and other substances in and on the artery walls.

Bradycardia
Abnormally slow heartbeat.
Cerebrovascular accident
The sudden death of some brain cells due to the lack of oxygen when he blood flow to the brain is impaired by blockage or rupture of an artery to the brain.
CHF
Congestive heart failure. A condition in which the heart is no longer able to pump enough oxygen-rich blood.
Diastolic
Blood pressure when the heart is relaxing; the second number recorded in a blood pressure reading.
Edema
Swelling caused by excess fluid in tissues.
EKG
Electrocardiogram
Hypertension
A condition where the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high.
Ischemia
When your heart does not receive enough oxygen due to reduced blood flow.
MI
Myocardial infarction. A blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle (heart attack).
RRR
Regular rate and rhythm.
Systolic
Blood pressure when the heart is contracting. The top number in a blood pressure reading.
Tachycardia
Abnormally rapid heartbeat.
